EASY CHEESEBURGER SLIDERS FOR A CROWD
Yield: 12 Sliders
No need to babysit a bunch of itty-bitty burgers on the grill; these sliders use a muffin pan for easy prep.
INGREDIENTS:
1 small onion
1/4 cup (50ml) dry breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp (30mL) each Worcestershire sauce & yellow mustard
1/2 tsp (2mL) each salt and pepper
1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef
3 slices Cheddar cheese, quatered slider buns
Toppings such as sliced onion, dill pickles, tomatoes & traditional condiments
METHOD:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Oil muffin pan well.
Use a box grater to grate onion into a large bowl. Stir in breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Crumble in beef and gently mix to combine. Form into 12 equal balls.
Preheat oiled muffin pan for 5 minutes. Carefully remove pan and drop a ball into each cup. Flatten beef with the back of a glass with an oiled base. Bake for 12 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Top with cheese. Bake 1 additional minute or until melted. Serve patties on slider buns with toppings and condiments on the side.
